Energy Almanac
Description / purpose
The Energy Almanac tracks and reports the location and size of power plants, where transmission lines are, as well as where electrical demands or transmission bottlenecks occur. The Almanac also reports 10- year trends in energy demand and supply, and to some extent predicts where additional facilities will be needed.
The data reported in the Energy Almanac comes from surveys performed by the California Energy Commission, as well as other sources.
