To better assist users, Delta Science Program staff hosted a webinar on October 8, 2024 to introduce attendees to the major features of the web-based tool, explain its uses and the benefits it provides to Delta Science community members, and demonstrate how it is being used to assess progress toward implementing the 2022-2026 Science Action Agenda.

Exploring the Delta Science Tracker
You do not need an account to search or filter the inventory of activities in the Delta Science Tracker, or to create visualizations that summarize activities, funding, and collaborations.

Adding activities
To add your science activity to the Delta Science Tracker, you first need to request an account.
Need an account? “Contact us” to request an account, or email us directly at sciencetracker@deltacouncil.ca.gov.
After logging in, you can contribute to the Delta Science Tracker by adding a new activity. A link to add a new project is located at the bottom right of the Science Activities filtering menu (see bottom left in image below). Downloading activities
All activities contained in the Delta Science Tracker can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet by clicking the Download button located at the bottom of the Science Activities filtering menu (see bottom right in image below). Note that you need to be logged into the Delta Science Tracker with a user account to access this function.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does it take to add a science activity?
- 10-15 minutes is the average amount of time to create a new activity in the system.
- When will I get an account?
- You will be contacted with your account information within approximately 1-2 business days.
- Who do I contact if I have questions or I see an error?
- Reach out to us by using the ‘Contact us’ tab above, or email us directly at sciencetracker@deltacouncil.ca.gov.
- Why don't I see a particular project in the Delta Science Tracker?
- Activities are being continually added by Delta Science Program staff and project collaborators.
- To help make this resource as useful as possible, we invite you to add projects your projects!
- We also encourage you to help us by requesting colleagues and associates add their projects.
- Are only Delta Science Program-funded projects allowed in the Delta Science Tracker?
- No! We welcome any Delta science activity to the Science Tracker regardless of funding source.
- Are only projects that take place within the legal Delta allowed to be added to the Delta Science Trackers?
- The intent of the Science Tracker is to collect activities that are related to advancing our scientific understanding of the Bay-Delta system, including the broader watershed and other connected regions.
