Tara Schraga (tschraga@usgs.gov) is a biological oceanographer who began work at the USGS in 1997. She has a BA degree in environmental studies from Brandeis University (1990) and an MS in oceanography from the University of Rhode Island (1997). Tara oversees the field and laboratory investigations of water quality variability in the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. She manages the monthly longterm research and monitoring program. Tara maintains this Water Quality of San Francisco Bay website and its fabulous publically available database containing 49 years of data (as of 2018).
